A passionate team

Granode Materials was founded in 2021 when 2D fab – a large-scale manufacturer of the nano material graphene – transferred operations.

At Granode Materials, our team is highly educated and experienced in nano materials, creating optimal conditions for our success. We are committed to building a diverse and motivated workforce to avoid monolithic thinking and bring a range of perspectives and ideas.

Our team is composed of individuals with dual education credentials, with 4 out of 5 staff members holding a second degree and 3 out of 5 holding a Ph.D. in relevant fields.

Founded in 2021, we have extensive experience in high-end battery and energy storage research, as well as working with advanced nano materials.

Our team includes esteemed members such as Professor Daniel Brandell from the Ångström Advanced Battery Centre at Uppsala University and our chairman, Lars Thunell, former CEO of the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group). They bring extensive knowledge in battery technology and global business development.

Our thorough understanding of plasma technology allows us to produce silicon nanoparticles deposited on graphite/graphene at a lab scale, and we believe plasma deposition is the most viable method for commercial production.
